Tile and Stone Policy
We treat your home like our own. Because shower installations require us to drill into your tile or stone, we use only the highest quality specialized diamond bits designed for high-end finishes. However, because tile, stone, and other shower substrates have different makeups and come from sources all over the world we cannot always account for the internal composition or “hidden” fragility of every surface.
Some tiles simply break easier than others, and occasionally a tile simply has a weak spot that causes it to crack when drilled. Additionally, air pockets in the thin-set behind the surfaces can create vulnerabilities when pressure is applied. Because of these factors, Drexler Glass Co. does not assume liability for tile or stone breakage during installation.
Our technicians are highly experienced. We drill thousands of surfaces every year and rarely have a problem. But, if we do spot a crack forming, we don’t just “push through.” We stop immediately and let you know. You can then arrange for a repair at your expense. To show our commitment to your project, we will return to finish the job at a later date with no additional trip or installation charges. Our goal is to exceed your expectations from start to finish.
